TechRexOS Guide

TechRexOS Studio — configure your watch from the web.

A Smart Home watch becomes far more useful when everyday configuration does not require firmware editing. TechRexOS Studio is the planned browser-based environment for managing the watch and the Smart Home functions that appear on it.

What TechRexOS Studio is for

Studio is intended to make configuration visual and understandable: choose devices, assign actions, organize screens and decide what should be available from the wrist.

Configure devices and screens

Instead of exposing every automation entity, Studio can help users select the useful subset: the lights, blinds, gates, scenes, sensors and building functions that belong on the watch.

Manage MQTT integrations

Because TechRexOS is designed around MQTT, Studio is planned to provide a friendlier way to manage integration settings without making the user work directly with raw configuration for routine changes.

A consistent experience across automation systems

The web configuration layer supports the wider TechRexOS goal: keep the user experience consistent even when Home Assistant, Domoticz, openHAB, BMS or custom automation sits behind the watch.

Status and updates

The TechRexOS Studio concept also includes watch status and update management so the product can be maintained from a larger screen when needed.
